Fully Welded Construction - The MST turnstile
has fully welded yoke, roto and barrier sections, providing superior
structural strength and attractive styling.

Stainless Steel Components - Alvarado
full height turnstiles feature an investment grade stainless steel
mechanism and case hardened stainless steel lock arms to ensure
a consistent, smooth rotation and years of trouble-free service.

Top Channel Cover - MST turnstiles feature
a stainless steel top channel cover, which provides superior corrosion
protection versus zinc or cold rolled steel.

Splined Shaft / Roto - All Alvarado full
height turnstiles use double top roto bearings, one inside the top
channel, and one underneath. Roto units are securely coupled to
a splined top channel shaft. The splines provide a precision fit
and assure proper timing.

Bearing Covers - Alvarado full
height turnstiles have top and bottom bearing covers to enhance the
appearance and protect against tampering, weathering and corrosion.

| Friction Brake Assembly - The
adjustable braking mechanism consists of a precision investment cast
steel disc brake that rotates and maintains contact with brake pads
to provide friction braking during rotation.

Turnstile Components - The MST turnstile
is shipped in sections for easy assembly.

| Electrical Features - 110VAC
input is stepped down and rectified for low voltage 12VDC operation.
Other features include junction box with dual power receptacle and
on/off power switch. All electric models have been tested and approved
by City of Los Angeles Dept. of Building and Safety (Underwriters
Laboratories Standard UL-325).

Activation Interface - Alvarado's full
height turnstiles are activated (unlocked) by supplying an isolated,
momentary dry contact. No additional interface relay is required.
| Back
to Top |
Timed Delay Auto Relock - Once activated
(unlocked) the user has 20 seconds to pass through the turnstile.
If not rotated within the 20 second time period, the turnstile will
automatically relock. No additional time delay relay is required.
As an option, an Adjustable Timed Delay Auto Relock is also available,
which allows adjustments or disabling of the time delay relock.

Turnstile Rotation Feedback Signal -
A feedback signal in the form of a relay output is sent each time
there is a turnstile rotation. Individual signals are provided for
each direction of rotation.

Self Centering - A precision hydraulic
self-centering mechanism corrects under (less than 120°) or
over (more than 120°) rotation of the arms following completion
of passage, automatically returning arms to the "home"
position.

Fail Safe Option - This Alvarado full
height turnstile option replaces the standard Fail Lock mode. The
Fail Safe option allows free rotation upon loss of power for one
or both electrically controlled directions.

Card Reader Mounting Options - MST turnstiles
may be ordered with mounting plates for most card readers.

Red/Green Status Lights - When used in
conjunction with access control systems, Alvarado full height turnstiles
may be ordered with Red/Green Status Lights mounted within the top
channel. The Green LED pattern is activated when a valid card is
scanned, and indicates that the turnstile is momentarily unlocked
to permit a single passage. The Red LED pattern shows that the turnstile
remains in locked status.

| Red/Green/Yellow Status
Lights - When used in conjunction with access control systems,
Alvarado full height turnstiles may be ordered with Red/Green/Yellow
status lights mounted within the top channel. Yellow LED's are lit
when the turnstile is ready to scan. A valid scan unlocks the turnstile
and is indicated by the Green LED pattern. Invalid scans cause the
turnstile to remain locked and are indicated via the Red LED pattern.

Remote Locking with Open/Closed Lights
- The Remote Locking Option allows bypass of the access control
system to remotely lock or "close" the turnstile. The
photo above shows the top channel of a full height turnstile with
highly visible "Open/Closed" Lights, an additional option
designed to be used in conjunction with remote locking.

| Key Override - This option
for Alvarado full height turnstiles unlocks one or both directions
of passage (separate override required for each direction).

Serial Interface - This option allows
the turnstile to communicate with a PC or controller via RS-232
serial communication.
